Adam Carr Named Preseason All-American

Oklahoma State senior Adam Carr has been named a 2006 Preseason All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, which voted Carr to their second-team All-American squad as a first baseman.

Carr, a 6-foot-2, 210 pounder, is coming off a junior campaign in which he led the Big 12 Conference with 22 home runs and 86 RBIs. He also finished the season with a .336 batting average, five triples and a .702 slugging percentage. He earned first-team All-Big 12 honors as a utility player in 2005 and was also a third-team All-American choice by the NCBWA.

The Cowboys open the 2006 season February 10th against South Alabama in Mobile, Ala.
