Cowboys Advance to Consolation Finals at Hooters Match Play

The second-seeded Cowboys and the seventh-seeded Wildcats had their match halted yesterday due to darkness. OSU entered the day with junior Tyler Leon and senior Zack Robinson both dormie before each player went on to 2 and 1 victories to get the Cowboys on the board.
Freshman Trent Leon won his final two holes to erase his deficit against Brad Doster and earn a 1-up victory, while sophomore Pablo Martin earned OSU's other team point with a 1-up win as well.
Against 10th-seeded New Mexico, Martin defeated Jay Choi, 4 and 2, and redshirt freshman Jonathan Moore got into the win column with a 1-up victory over Robb Bierbaum.
Nick Geyer got the Lobos on the board with a 3 and 1 triumph over Tyler Leon. However, OSU cruised in its final two matches as Trent Leon won 6 and 5, while Robinson prevailed 5 and 3.
OSU will take on Georgia Southern, the No. 16 seed, tomorrow morning with play set to begin at 8:30 a.m. (EST).
