Ty Wright Named Big 12 Baseball Player of the Week

Wright, a true freshman, was 6-for-11 (.545) in four games last week and was the driving force behind the Cowboys' 10-8 win over Kansas in 14 innings last Sunday to complete a sweep over KU. He was 4-for-6 and keyed a four-run OSU rally with a two-run single in the eighth to send the game into extra innings at 7-7. Later, the yearling blasted a game-winning, two-run homer in the bottom of the 14th after Kansas had taken an earlier 8-7 advantage. He also produced two doubles and five RBI along with four runs scored for the 20 th -ranked-nationally Oklahoma State squad.
