Forsyth (2-2) walked four and struck out five and did not allow a hit after the fifth inning in the winning effort. Brad Smith recorded the final out of the game to pick up his fourth save of the year.
SEMO improved to 11-13 on the year, while Oklahoma State fell to 18-10
The Indians scored a run in the first off of Cowboy starter Travis Ingle (0-1).
OSU scored two runs in the bottom of the second to take a 2-1 lead. Jason Jaramillo scored on a passed ball and Chris Gutierrez had a RBI single to account for the runs.
SEMO rallied with two runs in the fourth off of Ingle who hit a batter with the bases loaded for one of the scores. The Indians added a run in the fifth off of reliever DeWayne Carver.
Gary Gilbert led SEMO with three hits, while five Pokes recorded a hit each.
The Cowboys will be back in action this weekend as Texas A&M comes to town for a three-game series. Game times are set for 7 p.m. on Friday, 1 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
