Rew scattered six hits over the game and recorded a career high nine-strikeouts to improve to 2-0 on the year. He recorded OSU's first complete game shutout since Scott Baker achieved the mark against Oral Roberts on April 15, 2002 .
The Cowboys won all three of their games in the tourney, and sixth game overall, to improve to 8-2 on the year. The Hokies dropped to 1-2 with the loss.
OSU took a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning on RBI singles by second baseman Rusty Ryal and rightfielder Rod Allen. That would prove all the Pokes would need as Rew went the distance for the team's second shutout of the year.
Allen, Ryal and third baseman Josh Fields led the Pokes with two hits apiece.
Oklahoma State will head home to face Dallas Baptist on Tuesday at 4 p.m. , before heading back out on the road to play three games in the Lake Area Classic next weekend in Lake Charles , La.
