TCU Defeats Oklahoma State 14-6

TCU improved to 2-4 with the win while OSU fell to 2-2.
Leftfielder Shaun Stephens hit a three-run homer in the first off of Cowboy starter Scott Richmond and helped stake the Horned Frogs to a 4-0 lead.
The Cowboys scored a run in the third on a RBI single by leftfielder Scott Kirby, but TCU first baseman Chris Neuman hit a three-run homer in the sixth to build the lead up to 7-1.
The Horned Frogs added six runs in the seventh to make it 13-1, before the Cowboys scored two in the bottom of the inning and three in the eighth to cut the lead to 13-6.
Rightfielder Rod Allen had a three-run homer in the eighth to close out the Pokes scoring. TCU added another run in the ninth to cap off its 22 hit day.
TCU starter Ryan Weems (2-0) struck out eight batters in 6.1 innings of work and allowed just three runs to snap the Horned Frogs four-game losing streak.
Scott Richmond (0-1) allowed six runs on 11 hits in 5.1 innings of work to take the loss.
Freshman centerfielder Keanon Simon paced the Pokes with three hits on the afternoon, while rightfielder J.J. Estrada went 5-for-5 at the plate to lead the Horned Frogs.
