Cowboy Baseball Hosts Eastern Michigan In Season Opener

The opener is slated for a 4 p.m. start on Friday, with Saturday's contest set for 2 p.m. and Sunday's at 11:30 a.m. at Reynolds Stadium
Friday's contest marks the first for the Cowboys under new head coach Frank Anderson. OSU returns several veteran's from last year's squad including preseason All-Americans Josh Fields and Jason Jaramillo. Shortstop Chris Gutierrez, outfielder Scott Kirby and designated hitter Mario Matulich are also returning offensive starters from a year ago. Junior Spencer Grogan and junior Daniel Rew return to anchor the pitching staff.
Eastern Michigan went to the NCAA tournament last season and finished the season with a 31-28 record. They return five position starters and four veteran pitchers as well.
Oklahoma State is 46-19-1 in season openers and 53-13 in home openers dating back to the 1935 season.
All of the games will be broadcast on radio and can be picked up on KSPI 93.7 FM on Friday and Sunday and on KSPI 780 AM on Saturday.
