Cowboy Golf In Third Place At Isleworth Invitational

The Cowboys carded a 297 total during the morning round to come in 10 shots off the pace of Georgia and in eighth place, but cut the margin in half with a 3-under 285 during the afternoon to get within striking distance of the Bulldogs at five shots back.
Individually, freshman Pablo Martin finished the day in a three-way tie for first place at 137, 7-under, with rounds of 69 and 68. The Malaga, Spain native will enter tomorrow morning's final round tied with Georgia Tech's Roberto Castro and Florida's Matt Every while looking to pick up his second career victory in three outings.
Junior Zack Robinson rebounded from an opening round of 76 with a 1-under 71 to stand in 22nd place at 147, while sophomore Tyler Leon ended the day tied for 27th place with rounds of 74 and 76 for a 150 total.
Junior Chris Clarke carded rounds of 78 and 74 to come in tied for 44th place at 152 in a group that includes redshirt sophomore Ryan Posey, who finished the day with rounds of 80 and 72.
The Cowboys and the rest of the 16-team field will begin play tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. (EST) with a dual-tee start off Nos. 1 and 10 on the par-72, 7,426-yard layout.
