In his home debut, Johny Hendricks pinned Shane Seibert in 4:06. The Edmond, Okla., native scored four takedowns in the first period to take an 8-3 lead heading into the second period. Seibert cut the lead to 8-4 with an escape, but Hendricks scored three more takedowns to take the 14-6 lead. Hendricks worked the snake on the edge of the mat before pinning Seibert to improve to 22-3 on the year.
Ronnie Delk recorded the quickest pin of the night against Ben Martinez in 36 seconds. Tyrone Lewis recorded his second fall of the night after taking Sean Sheets straight to his back before pinning him in 3:14.
Rusty Blackmon recorded the team's fourth fall with his first-period pin over Sandeep Singh. Chris Pendleton blitzed Anthony Rubalcava, 19-3, for his sixth technical fall on the year.
Second-ranked Zack Esposito earned his 16th win on the year after No. 13 Casey Olson stalled out for the disqualification.
Fresno State earned a major decision at 184 pounds and a decision at heavyweight. Greg Gifford came entered the dual unranked with an 8-4 record and left upsetting OSU's defending national champions Jake Rosholt. The win handed Rosholt his second consecutive loss.
Nineteenth-ranked Clint Walbeck recorded a takedown in overtime to knock off ninth-ranked Will Gruenwald, 3-1.
Cody Stites and Johnny Thompson each recorded a decision and a major decision, respectively, for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys return to action Sunday, Jan. 11 when they travel to Iowa City, Iowa, for a dual against arch-rival Iowa. The dual is slated to start at 1 p.m. Broadcast for the dual will be on 780 AM starting at 12:45 p.m.
