Baseball Shuts Out Texas Southern 13-0

These two games mark OSU's first back-to-back shutouts since 1990, when the Cowboys shut out Creighton and Wright State by identical 5-0 scores.
Oklahoma State moves to 21-14 on the season with the win, and Texas Southern falls to 17-26 overall. David Rollandini picked up his first win of the season for the Pokes.
Oklahoma State took the lead early in the game as Toby Rhodes' single scored Nebasett Brown in the first inning.
The Cowboys then added two runs in the third inning off Luke Scott's double which scored Ronte Langs and Carlos Gautreaux.
Oklahoma State also put two runs on the scoreboard in the fourth inning to lead the Tigers 5-0. In the sixth inning, the Cowboys scored four more runs to lead 9-0.
Ryan Budde's three-run homer in the seventh inning brought the score to 12-0. The Cowboys then added one run in the eighth inning, bringing the final score to 13-0.
Carlos Gautreaux and Lance Smith led the Pokes at the plate with two hits apiece.
Defensively, OSU recorded a season-high four double plays in the game.
The Cowboys will continue their homestand this weekend as they face Texas A&M for a three-game series. The game time will be 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
