Baseball Posts Second Shut Of the Season

STILLWATER, Okla. - Scoring eight runs in the sixth inning, Oklahoma State (8-6, 2-1 Big 12) posted its second shut-out win of the season against Northern Iowa (4-5, 0-0 MVC) 20-0, Tuesday afternoon.

Tony Lucca continued to be explosive by hitting his fifth and sixth home runs of the season. Also Cowboy Kevin Lucas hit everything but a double to attempt to be the first Cowboy this season to hit for the cycle.

Left-handed pitcher Danny Prata threw four solid innings, giving up five hits, no runs, and striking out one.

The Cowboys will be back in action Wednesday, March 3, at 3 p.m. in the second game of the Northern Iowa series.
