Baseball Sweeps Baylor,11-9

Oklahoma State took an early lead in the first inning scouring four runs on four hits. Kevin Lucas began the inning with a base hit and later scored off Billy Gasparino's tenth home run of the season. Josh Holliday continued the hitting with a single in the right field gap. The next batter, Jay McCullough, blasted his seventh home run driving in Holliday.
Baylor would later rally six runs in the sixth inning by walking three batters and an error by JimBo McAuliff.
The Bears would later score a run in the seventh with catcher Bryan Loeb hitting a looper over first baseman Tony Lucca's head.
OSU rallied three runs in the eighth inning with another Cowboy home run from Matt Mabrey and a single up the middle by catcher Rusty Puffinbarger. The home run was Mabrey's second of the season.
In the top of the ninth, Matthew Markum walked two Cowboy batters with two outs, and Jared Visker walked the bases loaded. The next batter, Trent Kitsch, watched a Visker wild pitch score pinch runner Frank Bludau from third. He was running for Lucca who walked.
In the tenth inning, Holliday lined a two-run double off the left field fence to take a two run lead.
The Cowboys will return home for a six-game conference homestand. April 21 and 22, Oklahoma State will face Iowa State. A double header will be held April 21, with game times set for 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. The second game of the series, on April 22, will be held at 7 p.m.
