Cowgirl Harriers Compete In Bayou Classic

HOUSTON, Texas - Oklahoma State's Adrienne Crenshaw won the collegiate division in the triple jump at the Bayou Classic Track and Field meet held in Houston, Texas. The meet was held last Friday and Saturday, March 27-28. It was also the first outdoor meet for the OSU women's track and field team.
Other highlights included a strong showing in several events. Paula Ogunbanjo, Cody Birk, and Melissa Ndubilo placed third, fifth and sixth respectively in the long jump.
In the throwing events Delissa McClain flexed muscle and placed third in both the hammer and discus, Leigh Ann Tracey took the seventh spot and Kelli Eaton hurdled far enough to occupy the eighth spot.
The cowgirls also competed well in the javelin throw with Laurel Catlitt-King, Jody Snawder, April Hart and Misty Carey filled the fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth place positions. Halee Prickett launched the shot put to a second place finish.
Senior Alex Lindquist, running for the first time in almost a year, ran to a fifth place finish in the 800 meter run.
