Play Suspended in Baseball Game

Oklahoma State's baseball game, Wednesday afternoon, was suspended in the top of the fifth inning after an altercation between the two teams on the field.

The game could be resumed at a later date if the two teams can work it into their schedules.

The game was suspended with Northern Iowa leading 4-3, in the top of the fifth. Tempers flared when Northern Iowa's Ryan McQueen hit an apparent two-run home run. Time had been called by the first base umpire prior to the pitch. The home run was not allowed, sparking an argument that led to both benches being emptied onto the field.

Umpires restored order quickly but decided to suspend action. If the game is eventually completed, it would begin from the point it was stopped, in the top of the fifth with one runner on and one out.

Oklahoma State will be on the road this weekend for Big 12 Conference action against Kansas State in Manhatten, March 6-8
