Callahan is a multi-dimensional athlete who will see time at a variety of positions in the infield.
2002: Batted .600 with a double and two RBIs in six games ... saw limited action on a senior dominated infield and spent most of the year honing his skills.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was an all-state selection in his junior and senior year at Holden High ... was a four-year all-conference player at shortstop and pitcher ... three-year all-district and four-year letterwinner under Coach David Riley ... also garnered all-state honors as a guard on the basketball team ... batted .670 with 11 homers as a senior and was a second-team All-American ... batted .507 with seven homers and 26 RBI as a junior ... also lettered one season in football ... played for the 2001 KC Monarchs that won the AAU National Championship ... also considered Missouri, Texas and Texas Tech.
