Hansley will be the starter at second base and should be the leadoff hitter in the batting order.
2002: Batted .319 with a homer and 15 RBIs ... was 2-for-4 in stolen bases and also recorded two doubles ... made 10 starts in 40 games played ... had four hits against San Diego (2/23) ... was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored against Delaware (2/24) ... hit his only homerun in the second game of a double-header against Prairie View A&M (2/11) ... went 2-for-3 in a mid-week game against San Francisco (4/9) ... had six multi-hit and five multi-RBI games.
2000-2001: Played for two seasons at Manatee Community College in Bradenton, Fla. ... was a state all-star game player and all-conference selection as a sophomore after hitting at a .376 clip with six homers and 57 RBI ... was a second team all-conference choice in 2000 after batting .369 with three homers and 31 RBI ... also played in the all-state tournament as a freshman ... was an academic all-state and all-conference selection ... helped lead Manatee to the Suncoast Conference Championship ... hit a homer off of major league southpaw Pete Schourek in an exhibition game with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2000 ... played for the Geneva Redlegs that summer in a wooden bat league and hit .302 with three homers and 32 RBI ... also considered Central Florida, Florida, Miami, Florida Atlantic and Wake Forest.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was the state all-star game MVP as a senior at Cooper City High ... was a two-time all-county second baseman under Coach Charlie Cardinale.
