2002: Competed at 174 pounds for the Cowboys and recorded a 20-7 mark. He wrestled in four duals for the Pokes, garnering a 2-2 record. Recorded a first-place finish at the Oklahoma Open and finished third at the Central Missouri State Open and the Cliff Keen Open. Was awarded academic honorable mention by the National Wrestling Coaches Association and captured first team academic All-Big 12 honors.
2001: Wrestled at 165 pounds last year and recorded a perfect 11-0 record. In his 11 victories, Reid recorded three consecutive tech falls. Reid will provide quality depth for the Cowboys at 174 pounds.
Junior College: Reid was a two-time Junior College All-American at Labette Community College. He posted a 66-9 record in two years. A two-time academic all-american, Reid maintained a 4.0 grade point average while at Labette. He was also named the Labaette Community College Player of the Year.
High School: Reid won an state championship under the direction of Sallisaw head coach Steve Shibley. He was a two-time regional champ and garnered all-state honors his senior year. He also was a four-year letterman in football and baseball.
Personal: Chad is the son of Roy and Sherree Reid and has one sister, Marlissa. In his spare time, Chad enjoys both water and snow skiing, golf, fishing, hunting and weight lifting. He is undecided on a major at Oklahoma State. He was born Oct. 17, 1979.
