FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Oklahoma State's women's outdoor track and field squad will compete in the John McDonnell Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas, this Saturday, April 12.
Senior thrower Laurel Catlett-King, juniors Halee Prickett and Marie Nilsson, sophomores Paula Ogunbanjo, Melissa Ndubilo and Adrienne Crenshaw and freshman Cody Birk are the cowgirls competing in this event.
The cowgirls are looking to add to their list of gold, silver and bronze winners of the first two outdoor meets competed in this year. The cowgirls were successful in their opening outdoor track meet held March 27 and 28 in Houston, Texas, with sophomore Adrienne Crenshaw winning the triple jump at the Bayou Classic, and despite cold and windy conditions in Joplin Missouri, sophomore Halee Prickett qualified for the regional track and field meet in the shot put at the Sports World Track and Field Classic which will be held in Lincoln, Neb. on May 30.
Oral Roberts, Tulsa and Kansas are among the many schools to compete at the John McDonnnell Invitational which is broken up into a morning and evening session. The throwing events will take place in the morning with jumps occurring in the afternoon.
