STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Siri Alfheim continues to add to a remarkable year as she was named to the Verizon Academic All-America Women's Cross Country/Track and Field Team.
Alfheim, a grad student from Kopervik, Norway, maintained a 3.63 GPA while working on a degree in Occupational and Adult Education.
Alfheim was just as impressive on the track as she was in the classroom. In her last year of competition, she was the individual regional champion in cross country and Big 12 runner-up, which led to the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year honor. She was the national champion in the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. and the national runner-up in the outdoor meet at Baton Rouge, La.
