Jason Woolhouse Finishes 13th at Track Championships

BATON ROUGE, La. - Oklahoma State junior Jason Woolhouse went into the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Bernie Moore Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. as the 12th fastest qualifier and he finished 13th in the 5,000-meter run yesterday.
Woolhouse's ran a time of 14 minutes, 28.64 seconds. David Kimani of Alabama was the national champion with a time of 13:59.30. He edged Jorge Torres of Colorado by half a second. Big 12 champ Dathan Ritzenhein of Colorado finished fourth.
The Cowboys were shut out of the team scoring. LSU went on to take the title on their home track.
The Oklahoma State Cowgirls finished in a tie for 19th. South Carolina edged UCLA for the national championship.
