Cowboy Track Closes Out Big 12 Season

LINCOLN, Neb. - Oklahoma State's men's track and field team finished out the Big 12 season last weekend in Lincoln, QB., at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
The Cowboys fared well in the 3000-meter run placing five runners in the top 20. Junior Jason Woolhouse had the best finish of the day for the Cowboys with a third-place finish in the 3000m. Woolhouse was joined in the top 10 by fellow Cowboy Ben Sigle who finished eighth. Freshman Ewen North crossed the finish line 12th in the run, while Jason Dimario and Chris McWatters finished 16th and 20th, respectively.
The Cowboys Distance Medley Relay team finished third behind Texas A&M and Colorado. The team consists of senior Seth Hawkins and juniors Cassidy Smith, Kinnith Jones and Ben Sigle.
Other Cowboys who scored team points were Matt Thomson who finished fourth in the 1000m and Gregory Rouault who finished seventh in the 5000m.
The Cowboys have one more chance to qualify individuals for the NCAA meet. The NCAA meet will be in Fayetteville, Ark. on March 8-9.
