Cowboys to Compete for Big 12 Championship

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's men's indoor track and field team will compete for the Big 12 Championship on Feb. 21-22 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Track in Lincoln, Neb.
The two day event will start at 10 a.m. on Friday morning and events will continue until 9 p.m. on Friday evening. Saturday the events will start at 10 a.m. and run until 6:45 p.m.
Since the inception of the Big 12, Oklahoma State has had four individual indoor champions. The most recent being Junior Vasquez. He won the 5,000m run at last year's championship.
The Big 12 Championship is one of the last opportunities for the individuals to qualify for the NCAA Championship meet. The only Cowboy to qualify for the NCAA meet, so far, is junior Jason Woolhouse. The New Zealand native is an automatic qualifier in the 5,000m run and is currently a provisional qualifier in 3,000m run.
Cowboys that qualify will next run at the NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. on March 8-9.
