Cowgirl Track Competes for the Big 12

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's indoor track and field team will compete in the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships in Lincoln, Neb., at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Feb. 22-23.
The Cowgirls are led by senior Siri Alfheim, who has an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 9 minutes, 35.22 seconds in the 3,000-meter run. She will also compete in the running the 5,000-meter run.
Alfheim will be joined in the 3,000-meter run by sophomore Valentina Medina, sophomore Joanna Fedick, sophomore Sharalee Sparks and juniors Lindsay Hall and Kristina Klos.
Senior Alexandra Lindquist will be competing in the mile run, an event she won last weekend at the Sooner Indoor Meet with a time of 4 minutes, 59.06 seconds. Medina is also slated to run in the mile run.
Senior Stephani Duff is set to compete in the long jump. Duff jumped a personal best of 19-6 in last year's Big 12 outdoor meet. Duff will be jumping against fellow Cowgirls' Desiree Brown, Melissa Ndubilo and Paula Ogunbanjo.
The Cowgirls will also be looking for freshmen Maria Berggren and Alison Erzinger to make an impact in the triple jump and the 600-yard run.
