Dec. 3, 2002
STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State Head Baseball Coach Tom Holliday announced the signing of twelve student athletes in the fall signing period. The group consists of two high school athletes and ten junior college players. Of the signees, six have already been drafted professionally.
"Our priorities were pitching and middle infielders to go along with an athletic player who could play multiple positions," said head coach Tom Holliday.
"Dealing with the professional draft and the ability to compete year in and year out has made us place a high emphasis on the `ready to play/ready to pitch' type of prospect. With this in mind, our staff did an outstanding job of finding professional prospects who can contribute in the Big 12 right away and have an impact on our program."
The Cowboys signed 10 pitchers and two position players in the early signing period for the 2003-04 season. The following is a list of the players with brief information on them provided by assistant coach Josh Holliday and a quote from head coach Tom Holliday.
