Oklahoma State Makes 32nd NCAA Baseball Regional Appearance

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State advanced to its 20th NCAA baseball tourney in 21 years when the NCAA announced its 2001 tournament field Monday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind.
The Cowboys (40-20), who had a string of 19 consecutive NCAA appearances snapped last season, returns to postseason play as the No. 3 seed in the New Orleans Regional, where they will take on No. 2 seed Mississippi (38-21-1) Friday, May 25 at 3 p.m.
Host institution Tulane University, which finished with the nation's best record at 50-10, will be the No. 1 seed and will face No. 4 seed Southern (40-13) at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The tournament is double elimination with all of the games to be played at Turchin Stadium on the Tulane campus.

Oklahoma State is 1-0 all-time vs Mississippi
The Cowboys are 1-2 all-time vs Tulane
OSU has never played Southern in baseball.
OSU will be making its 32nd appearance in NCAA regional play and have advanced into 19 College World Series with an all-time record of 121-69.
Oklahoma State head coach Tom Holliday will be making his fourth NCAA trip in five seasons as the skipper of the Cowboys.
