Lindquist sets personal best time at Nebraska Last Chance Meet

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Alexandra Lindquist set a personal best time in the mile run today at the Nebraska Last Chance meet in Lincoln, Neb.

Lindquist placed second in the race with a time of 4:46.10. Last weekend, at the Big 12 Championship meet, she finished third in the mile with a time of 4:47.20.

In order to her to automatically qualify for next weekend's national meet in Fayetteville, Ark., she would've had to have finished the mile in 4:44.00. However, her time was good enough to allow her to provisionally qualify. The cut off for a provisional qualifying mark is 4:48.40.

If her time is good enough for a bid to run at nationals, Lindquist and teammate Sara Wells will travel to Fayetteville next weekend to compete.
