Catcher Ryan Budde Receives Additional Preseason Award

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Junior catcher Ryan Budde was named a first-team preseason All-American by Baseball America in a release by the publication Thursday morning.
It is the second preseason award for Budde who also received third-team All-American honors by Collegiate Baseball last week.
Budde hit .291 last season with nine homers and 48 RBIs en route to honorable mention All-Big 12 honors and a spot on the USA Baseball National team.
He is the lone Big 12 player on any of the three All American teams by Baseball America.
Many scouting services have him listed as one of the top catching prospects for the 2001 amateur baseball draft.
