Baseball Hosts Seton Hall In Oklahoma City

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State, winners of six straight and 14 of 18, travel to Oklahoma City for a two-game non-conference series against Seton Hall starting Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark.
The second game of the series is slated for Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
The Cowboys are 33-18 overall and evened their Big 12 record at 12-12 with a sweep of Iowa State over the weekend. The Pirates are 32-13 on the season and in third place in the Big East conference with a 15-7 mark.
Tuesday's contest will be the first ever between the two teams on the baseball diamond.
Seton Hall head coach Mike Sheppard is in his 28th year as the skipper of the Pirates and owns a 908-459-1 mark in that span. Third baseman Ray Navarete leads the squad with a .409 batting average in 45 games, while first baseman Alfie Critelli is the team's top power source with 13 homers and 52 RBIs. As a team SHU is batting .322 while opponents are batting just .243.
Damon Ponce de Leon is the team's ace with a 8-2 ledger and a 2.89 ERA. As a team, the Pirates sport a 3.48 ERA with four shutouts and 12 complete games.
Senior righthander Frank Bludau (5-5) will get the start on the mound for Oklahoma State on Tuesday with Wednesday's starter yet to be determined.
This will be OSU's third trip to Bricktown this year as the Pokes lost two games to Oklahoma on April 22 and 23.
