Women's Track Takes Fifth At Kansas State Invitational

STILLWATER, Okla. -- The Oklahoma State women's track team competed in its first meet for the indoor season today at the Kansas State Invitational. The Cowgirls brought home a fifth-place finish.
Melinda Jackson dominated the long jump competition, finishing first with a 19'05.50 jump. McKendree State's Neisha Thompson placed second in the event, but couldn't touch Jackson with her 18'07.75 jump.
Natasha Santee recorded a third-place finish in the 60 meter dash, recording a time of 7.70. Cameko Tyner wasn't far behind Santee, finishing in 7.89. Santee also gained points for the team as she finished fourth in the 200 meter dash in 25.38.
Angella Ogle led the Cowgirls in the high jump event. She placed fourth with a 5'02.50 jump.
The Cowgirls will travel to Norman, Okla., for the Jan. 23 OU Invitational.
