Top-Ranked Cowboys Cruise Past Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Oklahoma State's top-ranked wrestling team won 9-of-10 matches en route to a 36-6 win over Cal Poly Friday afternoon in San Luis Obispo.
The Cowboys improved to 4-0 on the season and extended their dual winning streak to 49 in a row.
Mark Smith opened the dual with a fall over Moises Perez and the Cowboys never looked back. Mark Mu-oz won a 7-2 decision over Joey Hart and the Cowboys picked up a forfeit at 197 pounds to move in front 15-0.
Gan McGee then won the only match of the dual for the Mustangs with a fall over the Cowboys Dave Anderton.
Jeff Ragan and Eric Guerrero picked up back-to-back major decisions for the Cowboys. Charles Walker, who is a back-up at 141 pounds, won a 3-2 decision.
Reggie Wright, Jimmy Arias and Ty Wilcox all won their matches to close out the dual.
The Cowboys return to action tonight at 9 p.m. CST against Fresno State.
