Cowboys Win 62nd Straight

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Oklahoma State's top-ranked wrestling team won their 62nd straight dual with a 31-10 win over North Carolina Sunday Evening in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The win was the second of the day for the Cowboys, as they defeate N.C. State, 40-0 in a dual earlier today.
The Cowboys got a technical fall from Eric Guerrero and a regular fall from Dave Anderton en route to the win. Jamill Kelly, Jimmy Arias, Shawn Smith, Mark Smith, Mark Mu-oz and Josh Cruzan all garnered wins for the Cowboys, who improved to 17-0.
The Cowboys only lost a couple of matches in the dual. Charles Walker, wrestling up a weight at 149 pounds got pinned by ninth-ranked John Mark Bentley. Jeff Ragan, who wrestled for Teague Moore at 125, lost a 10-2 major decision to fifth-ranked Chuckie Connor.
Next up for the Cowboys will be a pair of duals on Saturday. They play host to Oregon at 11 a.m. and then wrestle Oregon State at 7:30.
