The Cowboys - Oklahoma State is the winningest program in the nation, in any sport. No other team compares as far as winning percentage and national team titles. The Cowboys are in their 80th season as a collegiate program and have amassed a 811-81-19 record, an .900 winning percentage. The Cowboys have also had 78 wrestlers win 119 individual titles, including two Cowboys that are on the current team. Despite what you may have read in these notes earlier the Cowboys do not have a losing record to Illinois they are actually 10-1 against the Fightin' Illini. The Cowboys actually do not have a losing record against anyone. They are tied with Iowa at 15-15-1 and Clarion 1-1.

In The Polls - The Cowboys started the season ranked No. 1 and have remained there throughout the season. The Tiger are currently unranked.

The Series - The Cowboys have never lost to the Tigers in 24 match-ups. The Cowboys won last season in Columbia 37-0.

Looking Back - The Cowboys shook off a lackluster performance against Oklahoma , with a 33-4 win over Michigan State. The Cowboys won 9-of-10 matches.

Up Next - The Cowboys will host Iowa, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. It will be the last dual of the season for the Cowboys. Tickets remain for the dual and can be purchased at the OSU ticket office (405) 744-5745 or (800) 522-6858.

And then there was two - With Teague Moore's loss to Stephan Abas, two Cowboys remain undefeated on the season. Mark Smith and Eric Guerrero both have unblemished records. Guerrero is 22-0 and Smith is 27-0. Both have won 27 straight matches.

Upon further review - After a further look into their careers, it has been found that Teague Moore has already passed the 100-win plateau. The senior from Pittsburgh has 104 career wins. Eric Guerrero reached the 100-win mark against Oklahoma. Jimmy Arias can become the next Cowboy with 100 wins. He currently has 95 for his career.

The Streak - A little bit about the Cowboys current 66-dual winning streak. The streak is the third longest streak in school history behind 76 and 70 match skeins. The Cowboys have the longest current streak in any sport in the country. The Pokes have won 51 straight duals on the road. In the current streak 48 of the 66 teams were ranked at the time of the dual. The Cowboys have also won 14 straight against Big 12 opponents and have never lost a Big 12 dual.

The Schedule - A casual observer might think that the Cowboys winning streak is weighted down by easy competition. The following is a list of the teams the Cowboys have wrestled or will wrestle this season.

John Smith
The most decorated wrestler in U.S.A. history returns for his seventh season at the helm of the Cowboys. Smith has posted an 107-14-2 record as the Cowboys' skipper. He also has coached the U.S. National Team in a couple of major international events. He first coached Team USA to a gold medal at the Goodwill Games in New York this past summer. He then took the Americans to Tehran, Iran, for the World Championships where the Red, White and Blue took home a bronze. The trip to Iran was the first time in almost 20 years an American flag had flown in Iran. As a wrestler Smith won six world titles, two Olympic titles and two NCAA crowns.

TEAGUE MOORE * 125
Has lost two straight matches, after starting 20-0. He lost to Shane Valdez and Stephan Abas. He was recently featured in Sports Illustrated. Recorded three straight falls at the Reno Duals to be named the outstanding wrestler of the event. He was also the outstanding wrestler at the Sunshine Open over the Christmas Break. He won that event with a 5-0 record. He won last seasons NCAA title with a fall over previously unbeaten David Morgan of Michigan State. ERIC GUERRERO * 133
He has been very impressive this season. He has nine technical falls on the season. His only tough match of the season came against second-ranked 125-pounder Stephan Abas of Fresno State. Eric is a two-time defending national champion. He looks to become the seventh four-time All-American in school history and the 13th three-time national-champion the history of the school. He won his national title last season with a win over Wisconsin's Eric Jetton. 1999: 22-0; OSU Career 101-13; Rank 1 CHARLES WALKER * 141 Upset Chad Erikson in the Minnesota dual to propel the Cowboys to victory. He wrestled up a weight and split his matches during the trip to North Carolina. He won three matches in the Cowboys trip out west. He also lost a tough 3-2 decision against Jose DeAnda of Nebraska. He placed third at the Sunshine Open. He is still fighting for the Cowboys starting nod with Jamill Kelly. He was 2-2 in dual action last season. 1999: 22-6; OSU Career 31-13; Rank NR

REGGIE WRIGHT * 149
Has been very impressive in the early going and is ranked third in the latest poll. He began the season unranked but now looks like a viable contender for the national title in the wide open 149-pound class. His only loss is to then fifth-ranked Cole Sanderson of Iowa State, an opponent he had majored earlier in the year. He is a transfer from Lassen Junior College. Placed fourth at the Espoir Worlds this past summer; he was a Espoir National Champion as well.1999: 18-1; OSU Career 18-1; Rank 2 JIMMY ARIAS * 157

Has had a roller-coaster season. He has currently won eight straight matches. He has split matches with top-ranked Chad Kraft, has beat fourth-ranked David Maldanado and lost to second-ranked Casey Cunningham and fifth-ranked Larry Quiesel. He came into the season ranked third, after a seventh-place finish in the tough 150-pound weight class a year ago. Has the ability to win it all for the Pokes this season. 1999: 17-4; OSU Career 96-39; Rank 6

TY WILCOX * 165
Was the favorite coming into the season at 165 but lost to Shawn Smith in the ranking matches. He and Smith have shared the starting nod for the Pokes until recently. Wilcox won the latest ranking match between the two and will be the Cowboys' starter. He won three of five duals for the Pokes on the west coast trip. He is only a redshirt freshman. 1999: 9-10; OSU Career 18-10; Rank NR

MARK SMITH * 174
Smith has showed his top-ranked form. He has 17 bonus point wins, including three technical falls and three falls. He has given up only two takedowns all season long. He won the Sunshine Open with a 5-0 record. He is the brother of OSU head coach John Smith and assistant coach Pat Smith. 1999: 27-0; OSU Career 84-20; Rank 1

MARK MUNOZ * 184
Currently on a five-dual winning streak. Has faced some of the best competition in the nation. He has lost to top-ranked Brandon Eggum (twice), second-ranked Casey Strand, fourth-ranked Vertus Jones and fifth-ranked Cael Sanderson. He has beat seventh ranked Brad Vering of Nebraska twice. 1999: 15-6; OSU Career 53-19; Rank: 6

JOSH CRUZAN * 197
Preserved the OU dual win with an upset of 13th-ranked Waymon May. Will be the starter in Pat Popolizio's absence. He is in his third year in the Cowboys' program. He has been a solid wrestler for the Cowboys since taking over the starting nod. 1999: 11-14; OSU Career 23-25; Rank NR

DAVE ANDERTON * 285
He has 12 falls to lead the Pokes. He bounced back from his tough weekend at the National Duals with falls in his next five matches. Had a tough weekend at the National Duals where he was pinned twice and lost a third match by decision. Brought the Cowboys from behind to win the first Minnesota dual with a second period fall. Transfer from Ricks Junior College in Idaho. He will be one of the bigger heavyweights in the nation this year. He is a junior in eligibility. 1999 16-8; OSU Career 16-8; Rank 13
