Baseball to Face Oral Roberts in Oklahoma City

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State and Oral Roberts will meet in a key non-conference match up for both baseball teams Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
The Cowboys are 19-8 on the season and ranked No. 29 in Collegiate Baseball while Oral Roberts is 22-4 and ranked No. 20 in Collegiate Baseball and No. 24 in Baseball America.
OSU has won seven of its last eight contests and are coming off a 2-1 weekend at the Homestead Challenge in Homestead, Fla. The Pokes split a pair with Harvard, losing 10-6 on Friday before coming back to win 4-3 on Sunday, and defeated Dartmouth 17-7 on Saturday.
Oral Roberts is riding a 14-game win streak heading into Wednesday's contest and swept a four-game series with Chicago State over the weekend. The Golden Eagles last loss was an 11-7 decision to the University of Texas on Mar. 3.
Oklahoma State leads the all-time series with Oral Roberts 25-22 and split the season series the last time the two teams met in 1997. The Golden Eagles won the first game 5-4 in Tulsa on May 2 before the Cowboys came back to pound ORU 15-2 in Stillwater the next day.
Scheduled to start on the mound for Oklahoma State will be senior lefthander Dale Pearson who is 1-1 on the season with a 2.59 ERA while Oral Roberts will counter with senior lefty Dusty Barrett who is a perfect 5-0 on the year with a 3.66 ERA.
The two teams will meet again next Wed., April 7, at Drillers Stadium in Tulsa at 6:35 p.m.
