- Jeffrey Carroll posted 15 points and a career-high 12 rebounds tonight. The redshirt junior entered tonight's game as the only player in the Big 12 to average at least 15 points and seven rebounds.
- The Cowboys led by as much as 12 points in the game, but a 13-0 run by Maryland gave them their first lead with 6:27 left in the game. Melo Trimble hit the game winning free throws with 9.4 seconds remaining.
- The Cowboys turned the Terps over 18 times. OSU entered Saturday's game ranked third in the country in turnovers forced at 20.71 per game, and have forced every opponent this year to committ at least 15 turnovers.
- Tonight marked the 30th game of Jawun Evans' career at Oklahoma State.
- OSU has made at least one 3-pointer in 523 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 13, 2001.
- Tonight's attendance at the XFINITY Center was 17,391.
- Phil Forte hit two 3-pointers against the Terps, which gives him 262 for his career - third in school history. He needs just 37 more to tie Keiton Page for the school record.
- Forte's 14 points against Maryland moved his career total to 1,423.
- Jawun Evans has tallied at least five assists in 17 of his 30 career games at OSU, including five of the eight games this year.
- The loss drops Brad Underwood to 95-16 for his head coaching career. Still, Underwood's .856 win percentage is tops among all active Division I coaches. With just 16 career losses, Underwood has a chance to reach his 100th victory faster than any coaches since Missouri's Doc Meanwell in 1918 (100-9) and Buck Freeman of St. John's in 1932 (100-10).
- OSU is now 0-3 all-time against the Terps, and 67-77 all-time against current members of the Big Ten Conference.
- Dating back to last season, OSU has lost six straight true road games. The Cowboys last won at Auburn, 74-63, on Jan. 30, 2016. OSU was 1-9 on the road last year.
- The Cowboys have now lost nine straight games to ranked opponents, including a 107-75 loss to No. 4/4 North Carolina in the Maui Invitational. OSU's last win over a ranked team came on Jan. 19, 2016 when the Cowboys took down No. 3/3 Kansas, 86-67, in Stillwater. OSU was 1-9 against ranked teams last season.
- OSU's last road win over a ranked opponent came on Feb. 9, 2015 when the Cowboys defeated No. 16 Baylor, 74-65, in Waco, Texas. OSU has now lost six straight games against ranked foes on the road.
