NORMAN, Okla. – In the first Bedlam matchup of the season, Oklahoma State picked up its fourth consecutive win over Oklahoma with a 7-1 triumph in a Tuesday night non-conference affair at L. Dale Mitchell Park.

The Cowboys scored six of their runs with two outs as they improved to 12-10-1 on the season and snapped OU's three-game winning streak; the Sooners fell to 17-10.

Colin Simpson provided the game's big blow with a grand slam that fueled a five-run second inning for the Cowboys. Ryan Cash also had three hits and an RBI, while Dylan Gardner was 2-for-3 and drove in a run.

On the mound, C.J. Varela and Noah Sifrit combined for the win. Varela worked five innings and allowed just one run on four hits to improve to 2-0, while Sifrit recorded the first save of his young career by holding OU scoreless over the final four frames.

OSU jumped on top early with a two-out rally in the second inning. With runners on first and second, Cash ripped an RBI single through the right side to bring home the Pokes' first run. Another walk loaded the bases, and up next Simpson, crushed a grand slam to right field to extend the lead. The blast was Simpson's team-leading seventh of the season.

The Cowboys added to their lead in the third, getting an RBI single from Trevor Boone to go up 6-0, before OU plated its first run in the bottom of the inning on Kyler Murray's RBI double.

OSU would get the run back in their next at bat when Gardner beat out an infield single with the bases loaded to push the Cowboys' lead to 7-1.

OSU returns to action Friday with their Big 12 Conference home opener against TCU at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
