- The Cowboys won their 21st game on the season and will advance to the NIT quarterfinal round. They will face the winner of the Western Kentucky at Southern California game. Should USC win, OSU would travel to Los Angeles for a Wednesday night game. If WKU wins, OSU will host the Hilltoppers on Wednesday.

- The win ties the school record with 15 home wins this season. The Cowboys won a second straight NIT game for the first time in school history.

- It extended its lead in the overall series with Stanford to 3-1. OSU moves to 6-1 in NIT games played in Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Cowboys are now 9-12 all-time in NIT play and 47-39 all-time in postseason play (NCAA + NIT). It secures the 799th all-time win in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
