Baylor Postgame Notes
February 08, 2017 | Cowboy Basketball
- The Cowboys nearly completed a furious comeback. The Bears led by 13 points with 3:57 remaining, but the Cowboys used a 12-0 run over3:34 to make it a one-point ballgame. That's when Manu Lecomte hit a pair of free throws with 14.7 seconds left to seal the game.
- The loss to Baylor ended OSU's five-game winning streak. The win streak was the team's longest after the turn of the New Year since a seven-game streak in 2012-13. Overall, the five-game win streak was the longest since the 2014-15 squad opened that season 7-0.
- OSU has faced AP top-10 opponents in back-to-back games for the first time since the 2004 NCAA Tournament, and earned a split thanks to Saturday's 82-75 win at No. 7 West Virginia.
- Jeffrey Carroll had 13 points at the half. This is the 14th time season - including 13 of the last 16 games - in which the redshirt junior has reached double-figures by halftime.
- Carroll finished with 20 points, which is his 39th career double-digit scoring game and his 20th game with at least 20 points.

- Jawun Evans posted 16 points and six assists, which is his 13th game this season with at least 10 points and five assists. It was Evans' 27th career double-digit scoring performance.
- OSU connected on just five 3-pointers, which tied the OSU season low. The previous low was five 3-pointers against TCU on Jan. 23.
- Baylor has now won the last four matchups against the Cowboys, including the last two in Gallagher-Iba Arena. OSU still leads the overall series, 54-26, including a 26-7 edge in Stillwater.
- Brad Underwood is now 104-23 on his career. His win percentage is now .819, which is tops among all active coaches.
