WVU Postgame Notes
February 04, 2017 | Cowboy Basketball
- The Cowboys extended their winning streak to five games, which is the team's longest after the turn of the New Year since a seven-game streak in Big 12 play in 2012-13. The last time OSU won five straight games overall was to open the 2014-15 season.
- The victory halts West Virginia's five-game winning streak over Oklahoma State. The Cowboys had lost in their last two trips to Morgantown. The Mountaineers still hold a 6-5 edge in the overall series.
- The Cowboys have now won three straight Big 12 road games for the first time since the 2012-13 squad won five straight away from GIA.
- OSU's five true road wins are tied with Kansas for the most by any Big 12 team this season.

- Jawun Evans scored 18 points to give the sophomore his 26th career double-digit scoring performance.
- The Cowboys hit their first five 3-point attempts, and eight of their first nine shots from the floor overall.
- OSU hit 6-of-8 from beyond the arc in the first half, which is the team's third highest total on the season. OSU connected on nine first-half 3-pointers against K-State and seven at Texas Tech.
- The Cowboys shot 63.6 percent in the first half, which is the team's third-best first-half performance of the year.
- Phil Forte hit one 3-pointer to increase his lead in the Oklahoma State record book. The redshirt senior now has 304 career 3-pointers, which ranks sixth in Big 12 history.
- With his 13 point performance, Phil Forte increased his career total to 1,626 points - 10th in OSU history.
- Forte passed Keiton Page for ninth in OSU history in career points in Big 12 Conference games. Forte now has 830 points, which passed Page's mark of 817.
- The win moves Brad Underwood's career record to 104-22. His career win percentage is now .825, which is tops among all active coaches.
- Today is the 4th time that 3 top-10 teams from the same league lost on the same day. (1st time ever in Big 12)
- Oklahoma State shot 62.5% from the floor today in its upset of West Virginia. It is the second highest field goal percentage for the Cowboys in a game in the last 10 seasons (63.3% on 11/21/10 vs Nicholls State)
