The Cowboys used a 21-2 run in the first half to jump out to a 30-8 lead.Kendall Smith led the Cowboys with 19 points and 6 rebounds. That is a new career high for him at OSU, and it is his second-straight game for scoring in double figures.Â
Tavarius Shine finished with 17 points, which is a new career high for him. He has scored in double figures in both games this year. This was the 10th career double figure scoring game for Shine.
Mitchell Solomon had two offensive rebounds in the game, which gives him 202 in his career. He is now in sole possession of ninth place for career offensive rebounds in OSU history. Â
Brandon Averette continued to be a key player off the bench for the Cowboys. He finished with 12 points and 4 assists. This was the 7th career double figure scoring game for Averette.
Gallagher-Iba Arena is one of the toughest venues for opponents in the country. Since 1989, the Cowboys are now 206-7 (.967) in non-conference games in GIA.
