MIAMI, Okla. – Eight members of the Oklahoma State wrestling team took home titles Saturday at the Golden Norseman Open on the campus of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. OSU was dominant, putting 11 wrestlers into the finals of their respective weight classes.
Competing unattached, junior Gary Wayne Harding rolled through the 133-pound bracket to take the title. Harding dominated throughout the day, tallying technical falls of 19-4, 18-0 and 15-0 in his first three matches before defeating Northeastern Oklahoma A&M's Sean DeShazer, 7-6, in the finals.
The Cowboys took first and second at 141 pounds, as OSU redshirt freshmen Boo Lewallen and Lincoln Olson met in the finals, where Lewallen would prevail with a 19-3 tech fall win. Lewallen went 4-0 on the day with three techs to take the title.
