- Jeffrey Carroll led the Cowboy scoring efforts with 23 points. This gives him seven 20-point games this season, including three of the last four games.
- Mitchell Solomon came alive in the second half to record a career-high 16 points - all in the second half. He was 6-of-6 from the floor and grabbed four rebounds in 21 minutes.
- The Cowboys have dropped the last five games, but each of the last four has been a one-possession game inside the final five minutes.
- Entering the contest, Phil Forte had score in double-figures in six of his seven career games against Kansas, and the senior posted 10 points today against the Jayhawks.
- OSU is 10-4 when leading at the half this season, although they led at the break in three games on this losing streak. The Cowboys have outscored their opponents by 66 points in the first half this season.
- Davon Dillard posted a career-high eight rebounds in a career-high 20 minutes. The sophomore added six points.
- Freshman Lindy Waters, III, made his return to the court after he missed the last three games with an injury and scored eight points.
- The loss drops OSU to 10-7 and 0-5 in Big 12 play. This is the first time the Cowboys lost their first five conference games in the Big 12 era.
- Despite the loss, OSU has won two of the last four meetings with the Jayhawks.
- Kansas now leads the overall series, 112-57, including a 61-11 mark in Lawrence.
- OSU is now 114-232 against AP top 25 opponents, including an 0-4 mark this season. The Cowboys have lost their last 12 games against ranked opponents.
- The Cowboys have now lost their last 11 Big 12 games. An injured Cowboy squad lost its final six Big 12 contests last season, and the Cowboys have lost their first five in league play this season.
- The Cowboys will return home to face Brad Underwood's alma mater, No. 25 Kansas State, on Wednesday at 8 p.m. on ESPNU. It will be the 1,000th men's basketball game in historic Gallagher-Iba Arena.
