Cowboy Tyrek Coger Laid To Rest

ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C. – Oklahoma State basketball player Tyrek Coger was laid to rest Saturday afternoon in his hometown of Elizabethtown, North Carolina.
Evangelist Fletcher Collins officiated the services, which were held at Elizabethtown Middle School. Coger was buried at the Robinson Temple Cemetery.
Coger, 22, died following a team workout at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater on July 21. He had arrived on the OSU campus on July 5 after spending the previous season at Cape Fear Community College in North Carolina.
Coger is survived by: his mother and father, Tomeka Collins and Michael Coger, Jr. of Elizabethtown, North Carolina; four brothers, Michael Coger III of New Jersey, Rodney Purvis of Connecticut, Miguel and Zach Coger of Elizabethtown and god mother, Shanda McNair of Raleigh, North Carolina.
