- The Cowboys were led offensively by freshman Lindy Waters (15 points, 7 rebounds) and junior Jeffrey Carroll (22 points).
- OSU reached 117 points on the night, which is the first time OSU eclipsed the 100-point plateau in any game - exhibition or regular season - since scoring 101 against Memphis on Nov. 19, 2013. OSU last scored this many points in a game in 2013 (117 vs Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 8, 2013).
- The 117 points are the most by an OSU squad in an exhibition game.
- Â The Cowboys shot 65 percent on the night. Had this been a regular game, it would have been the best shooting percentage since shooting 67.9 percent against Florida Atlantic on Nov. 10, 2006.
- Â OSU also racked up 26 assists, which would be the most by a Cowboy team since posting 27 against Robert Morris on Dec. 30, 2013.
- Â Several Cowboys made their first appearances in an OSU uniform; Brandon Averette, Thomas Dziagwa, Cameron McGriff, Lucas N'Guessan, Lindy Waters, Tyler Underwood and Trey Reeves.
- Â The Cowboys raced out to a 12-0 lead capped off by a right-wing 3-pointer from freshman Lindy Waters on his first collegiate shot attempt.
- The Cowboys moved to 56-4 in exhibition play since the 1973-74 season.
- OSU has now won 29 straight exhibition games. The Cowboys are 19-0 since the NCAA rule change in 2005-06 that only allows exhibition play against other college teams.
- The Cowboys dished out 14 first-half assists. OSU only had more than 14 assists in seven full games in 2015-16.
- OSU has never played Pitt State in a regular season game, but is now 2-0 against the Gorillas in exhibition play. The Cowboys also beat Pitt State
- 84-67, in an exhibition game to open the Sean Sutton era on Nov. 3, 2006.
- Â Sixth-year Pitt State head coach Kevin Muff and Cowboy head coach Brad Underwood were roommates at Kansas State while playing for Jack Hartman from 1984-86.
