The Oklahoma State win…
• Marked the 100th win of Mike Gundy's career, which makes him one of only seven active FBS coaches with at least 100 wins at their current school. The other six are Bill Snyder, Bob Stoops, Gary Patterson, Kirk Ferentz, Nick Saban and Kyle Whittingham.• Improved OSU to 4-1 in Big 12 play, marking the seventh time in the last nine years OSU has won at least four of its first five Big 12 games.
• Made OSU bowl eligible for a school-record 11th straight season.
• Marked the Cowboys' second win over an opponent ranked in the top 25 of the Associated Press poll this season.
• Marked the sixth time that the Cowboys have beaten a team ranked in the top 10 of the Associated Press poll since 2008.
• Marked the 19th OSU has beaten an opponent ranked in the top 25 of the Associate poll since Mike Gundy took over as head coach in 2005.
• Marked the 12th time that the Cowboys have beaten a ranked opponent at Boone Pickens Stadium under Mike Gundy.
• Tied the all-time series between OSU and WVU at 4-4.
• Moved the Cowboys to 3-2 against West Virginia since the Mountaineers joined the Big 12 in 2012.
• Improved OSU to 31-7 in their last 38 home games under Mike Gundy.
• Improved OSU to 41-17 in Big 12 Conference games since 2010.
:: In the second quarter, Vincent Taylor recorded a sack and forced a fumble that was recovered by Cole Walterscheid, marking OSU's ninth fumble recovery of the year. That ranks among the 10 best nationally.
:: Taylor added another sack on third down on WVU's opening drive of the second half and a half sack later to bring his career total to 9.5 and his season total to 4.5.
:: WVU entered the game ranked 29th nationally with 1.5 sacks allowed per game. The Cowboys tallied 4.5 sacks.
:: OSU entered the game ranked fifth nationally in fourth quarter scoring defense, allowing 2.86 points per game. Today, they held WVU to 10 fourth quarter points.
:: OSU entered the game with 16 takeaways on the year, leading the Big 12 and ranking 12th nationally. OSU added three more today.
:: James Washington has at least one catch in 27 consecutive games. He went over 100 yards receiving for the ninth time in his career and the third time this season.
:: The Cowboys took a 6-3 lead on a Ben Grogan field goal in the first quarter, marking the first time the Mountaineers have trailed since the fourth quarter of their win vs. Kansas State on Oct. 1.
:: WVU had not given up more than 17 points in a Big 12 game this year entering today. OSU had 20 at halftime and finished with 37. WVU had not given up more than 32 points in any game this season before today.
:: Ben Grogan added to his school record for career points, going 3-for-4 on field goal attempts with four PATs. He has now made 19 of his last 22 field goal attempts.
:: RB Chris Carson, OL Brad Lundblade, CB Ashton Lampkin and RB Barry J. Sanders served as Oklahoma State captains for today's game.
