Jawun Evans led OSU's scoring efforts with 13 points - the freshman's ninth game in double-figures. He also added five assists.
Jeff Newberry posted 12 points on 3-of-4 shooting from 3-point. It was Newberry's 21st doube-digit scoring performance at OSU.
Jeffrey Carroll posted a career-high tying 11 boards on the day. The sophomore also scored 10 points for his first double-double of the year and the second of his career.
The all-time series between the Mountaineers and Cowboys is now tied at four wins apiece. WVU has now won the last three games against OSU.
OSU had a season-high three players foul out of the game. That last happened at Oklahoma last season (Jan. 27, 2014).
Igor Ibaka appeared in his third game for OSU and scored a season-high four points.
West Virginia pulled down 18 offensive rebounds and turned them into 17 second-chance points. In OSU's last outing, Baylor turned 23 offensive boards in to 18 second-chance points.
